UK Trademark Registration Services
Trademark Renewal
To keep your trademark from expiring, it is necessary to file a renewal. A United Kingdom trademark has a registration period of ten years from the date of filing of the Application and may be renewed for further ten year periods indefinitely. No evidence of use is required for renewal.
A request for renewal must be submitted in writing. Payment of the renewal fee alone is not sufficient. This request must be submitted by the proprietor of the trademark or the solicitor/agent on the case if the proprietor does not have an office in one of the European Member states. Unlike the U.S., proof of use is not required in the United Kingdom. However, a trademark can be revoked if the owner fails to use the mark, either itself or through a licensee, for a continuous period of 5 years.
In the United Kingdom, the cost for filing a renewal is £200.00 plus £200.00 for govt filing fees. If you have used our services for the initial filing, our fees are only £125.00.
